I have only included the changes in the script.  If there is dialogue before or after, please perform as written unless it says the scene ends.

ACT 1: SCENE 4 - PAGE 20

BEN:                        Don't you be a meddlesome wench an' poke your nose where it's no cause to go. I must go on with my work. You get gone an' play you. I've no more time.

(NO LILIA’S CHOIR BEHIND SCRIM. SONG IS CUT.  Music plays and lights dim as Mary gets the idea of finding the key.  “I’m going to find that key.”    Exits SR)

Scene change music.  Scrim moved, benches off, bird’s nest off.  Set up scene 5.

ACT 1: SCENE 6 - PAGE 27

GARDENERS:       Sure, he knows. Maybe if you ask him, he'll show ye where the key is. (Talking to the bird.) Do you know where it is? What do you keep saying? I don't understand. EACH OF YOU STOP AND TALK TO THE BIRD.  THE AUDIENCE DOESN’T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU’RE DOING. (They all laugh and walk away.)

MARY:                    Don't listen to them. You can show me if you like.  (Take bird from nest and place on ground.)  SONG IS CUT. What, what is it? What? What are you digging at? A worm? No, it's something like a rusty old piece of iron or brass --- it's the key! It's the key!!!  (Say it loud enough that the gardeners come back.)  (Bird noise is still needed.)

(Gardeners enter.)

GARDENER 1:       What, what is it?  (CONTINUE ON WITH THE SCENE AS WRITTEN.)

MARY:                    What do you mean, Colin?

COLIN:                   When you told me about springtime, that's what I pictured. Large crowds of lovely people and children with garland and branches with blossoms. And there would be beautiful music with golden trumpets playing.

MARY:                    How funny! That's just what it feels like, doesn't it?

DICKON:                It's all here, Colin. Can't you see it? All the flowers and leaves and green things and birds and wild creatures dance -- all at once. Oh, what a crowd! Look at the leaves clapping their hands.

MARY:                    And the grass dancing on the hillside. Oh it's all here, Colin, it's all here!

COLIN:                   Yes, I can see it. I can see it all!

                                                            (SONG CUT)

Program Ads UPDATE

Hi Secret Garden Family, Please allow me to remind everyone about program ads.  We need to get these in very soon!  As we stand right now, we have met the requirement to get the individual bios into the program, but we need to sell ten more ads to get the individual headshots and the color program cover.  We have five days left…  If every family sets their mind to selling just one ad, we will not only have a wonderful show keepsake, but we will also raise funds for our local program.  I know you can do it!   If I can help in any way or if you need additional information, please email me at m.givvines@cytvanport.org .  There will be program ad forms at classes Thursday night near the magic box for anyone who needs a few.  Please note that ads and payment must be in no later than May 9th . Thank you, Melissa Givvines Program Chair
