THROUGHOUT ENTIRE SHOW, PLEASE MAKE SURE MANOR DOORS ARE CLOSED IF YOU ARE THE LAST ONE THRU THEM. THEY HAVE BEEN STAYING OPEN AND IT DOESN’T LOOK GOOD. THANKS!
LAST SCENE OF SHOW AND CURTAIN CALL HAVE GOT TO MOVE FASTER. PLEASE MOVE FORWARD QUICKLY AND OFF QUICKLY TO GET EVERYONE IN. THANKS!

BEN: Don't you be a meddlesome wench an' poke your nose where it's no cause to go. I must go on with my work. You get gone an' play you. I've no more time.
(NO LILIA’S CHOIR BEHIND SCRIM. SONG IS CUT. Music plays and lights dim as Mary gets the idea of finding the key. “I’m going to find that key.” Exits SR)
Scene change music. Scrim moved, benches off, bird’s nest off. Set up scene 5.
ACT 1: SCENE 6 - PAGE 27
GARDENERS: Sure, he knows. Maybe if you ask him, he'll show ye where the key is. (Talking to the bird.) Do you know where it is? What do you keep saying? I don't understand. EACH OF YOU STOP AND TALK TO THE BIRD. THE AUDIENCE DOESN’T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU’RE DOING. (They all laugh and walk away.)
MARY: Don't listen to them. You can show me if you like. (Take bird from nest and place on ground.) SONG IS CUT. What, what is it? What? What are you digging at? A worm? No, it's something like a rusty old piece of iron or brass --- it's the key! It's the key!!! (Say it loud enough that the gardeners come back.) (Bird noise is still needed.)
(Gardeners enter.)
GARDENER 1: What, what is it? (CONTINUE ON WITH THE SCENE AS WRITTEN.)

Mary, please sit in wheelchair instead of on window seat during this scene. I believe the audience can’t see you from the left side of the house when you sit on window seat.

FRESH AIR, FOOD, FROLIC ‘ FUN ENDS
MEDLOCK: I'd better be going. That Master Colin will be in such a fit, he'll throw himself on the ground and break his neck. On second thought, maybe I'll take my time. (Small laugh and exits.)
SCENE ENDS AFTER THIS. PAGE 45 IS CUT. CUE 46 HAPPENS HERE. CREW GET SCENE 5 SET UP
ACT 2: SCENE 5 – PAGE 49
DICKON: Come on Colin, I'll help you.
SONG IS CUT
(Colin, Dickon, and Mary walk DS right as scrim, garden walls, and door are put in place. START DIALOUGE WHILE SET IS PUT IN PLACE. THIS IS A CHANGE THAT WE WILL KEEP.)
COLIN: Where are the crowds and golden trumpets?
MARY: What do you mean, Colin?
COLIN: When you told me about springtime, that's what I pictured. Large crowds of lovely people and children with garland and branches with blossoms. And there would be beautiful music with golden trumpets playing.
MARY: How funny! That's just what it feels like, doesn't it?
DICKON: It's all here, Colin. Can't you see it? All the flowers and leaves and green things and birds and wild creatures dance -- all at once. Oh, what a crowd! Look at the leaves clapping their hands.
MARY: And the grass dancing on the hillside. Oh it's all here, Colin, it's all here!
COLIN: Yes, I can see it. I can see it all!
(SONG CUT)
COLIN: Oh, I've never seen anything so beautiful. I think I shall get well! I shall get well, Mary! Dickon! I shall live forever and ever and ever! (They all laugh and spin Colin around in the wheelchair.)
ACT 2: SCENE 5 – PAGE 52
GRAND CURTAIN WILL CLOSE. BE SURE TO MOVE SET PIECES BACK THAT MAY BE IN FRONT OF CURTAIN. ENTIRE SCENE WILL BE DONE WITHOUT MANOR SERVANTS IN FRONT OF GRAND CURTAIN.
MARTHA, MEDLOCK, COOK, DOCTOR, PITCHER WILL ALL STAND PRETTY MUCH IN THE SAME PLACE THEY STOOD BEFORE. MARTHA AND COOK WILL BE TO THE SIDE SO PLEASE BE SURE TO SPOT THEM TOO. BEN AND MR. CRAVEN WILL ENTER FROM THE HOUSE DOOR, SL ARM.
AT END OF SCENE, BLACKOUT WILL HAPPEN AND ALL CAST EXIT SL OFF HOUSE ARM. GRAND CURTAIN WILL OPEN AND SET PIECES MOVED BACK IN PLACE. COLIN AND MARY WILL STILL RUN ONTO STAGE AS BEFORE BUT SHOULDN’T HAVE TO RUN SO LONG.

COLIN: I shall live forever and ever and ever! I want to shout out something - something thankful, joyful!
BEN: Then ye might sing th' Doxology, THANKING GOD FOR ALL YOUR BLESSINGS.
COLIN: And I’ve been saying “Magic” when I should have been sayng God. It’s God that makes us new.
